Entech Staffing Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a position in Novi, MI! This position is paying $22-28/hour and begins right away. 1st shift.
Duties:
- Work with AutoDesk Inventor
- Utilize AutoCAD & Excel for machine design purposes
- Design broaching machine and broach tools
- Assess a design brief to gauge the design requirements
- Conduct and/or use research on user experience and needs, current market trends and general functionality
- Create multiple iterations of design prototypes
- Conduct rigorous usability tests and modifying the product based on the test results
- Evaluate design solutions against industry standards and regulations
- Document the design process
Requirements:
• Associates Degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
• 5+ years experience in working with AutoDesk Inventor
• Experience in working with AutoCAD & Excel
• 10+ years experience in machine design or related field
• 5+ years experience as lead design engineer in at least two of the following fields: 1) part holding fixtures for machining, 2) metal cutting machines, 3) cutting tools & tool holders, 4) automation to load/unload parts into machines
• Ability to analyze tolerance stack-up related to part machining
• Knowledge of GD&T
