Procurement Specialist – Services Buyer

Are you an experienced procurement professional with a passion for services buying and strategic sourcing? We’re seeking a Procurement Specialist with a strong background in services buying to support core management of diverse commodities across our supply chain. This role plays a critical part in achieving budget objectives, promoting supplier diversity, ensuring on-time delivery, and supporting strategic procurement initiatives—particularly within the renewable energy sector.

🔑 Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead procurement processes to ensure cost-effective, high-quality, and timely delivery of goods and services.

  • Build and maintain supplier relationships, including contract negotiation, commercial terms, and contract administration.

  • Maximize inventory investments and align procurement with business unit needs.

  • Review and analyze inventory levels and procurement trends.

  • Mentor procurement staff and support implementation of effective buying strategies.

  • Provide day-to-day procurement support, including contract administration and change order processing.

  • Draft, negotiate, and manage service contracts and supplier agreements.

  • Ensure compliance with legal, risk, and company policies in all procurement activities.

  • Respond to urgent procurement needs and resolve disputes or invoicing issues.

  • Support overall supply chain and business unit goals and key performance metrics.

📚 Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Economics preferred).

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain management, with a strong focus on services procurement.

  • ✅ Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow/Green/Black Belt certification.

  • Strong negotiation skills and contract drafting experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Ability to manage multimillion-dollar contracts with minimal supervision.

  • Solid understanding of risk management, value analysis, and continuous improvement.

  • Experience working directly with EPC contractors and procurement for solar materials.

  • Effective communicator with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
