Procurement Specialist – Services Buyer

This is a long term contract.
Are you an experienced procurement professional with a passion for services buying and strategic sourcing? We’re seeking a Procurement Specialist with a strong background in services buying to support core management of diverse commodities across our supply chain. This role plays a critical part in achieving budget objectives, promoting supplier diversity, ensuring on-time delivery, and supporting strategic procurement initiatives—particularly within the renewable energy sector.
🔑 Key Responsibilities:

Lead procurement processes to ensure cost-effective, high-quality, and timely delivery of goods and services.

Build and maintain supplier relationships, including contract negotiation, commercial terms, and contract administration.

Maximize inventory investments and align procurement with business unit needs.

Review and analyze inventory levels and procurement trends.

Mentor procurement staff and support implementation of effective buying strategies.

Provide day-to-day procurement support, including contract administration and change order processing.

Draft, negotiate, and manage service contracts and supplier agreements.

Ensure compliance with legal, risk, and company policies in all procurement activities.

Respond to urgent procurement needs and resolve disputes or invoicing issues.

Support overall supply chain and business unit goals and key performance metrics.
📚 Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Economics preferred).

Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain management, with a strong focus on services procurement.

✅ Preferred Qualifications:

Lean Six Sigma Yellow/Green/Black Belt certification.

Strong negotiation skills and contract drafting experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Ability to manage multimillion-dollar contracts with minimal supervision.

Solid understanding of risk management, value analysis, and continuous improvement.

Experience working directly with EPC contractors and procurement for solar materials.

Effective communicator with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
