Job Title: CNC Machine Shop Maintenance Technician

Pay: Starting at $26/hour (pay flexible based on experience and skill set)
Location: Shelby Township, MI
Schedule: 1st shift

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Shop Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and repair of CNC equipment in our manufacturing facility. This role is critical to minimizing downtime, maintaining production efficiency, and ensuring all equipment operates safely and reliably.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, including inspection, cleaning, lubrication, and adjustments

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and software-related issues

• Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend machine life

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage

• Order and manage inventory of replacement parts and supplies

• Collaborate with machine operators and CNC setup personnel to troubleshoot issues

• Maintain and repair support equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes

• Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO (lockout/tagout) protocols

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or technical certification in mechanical, electrical, or related field preferred

• Hands-on experience maintaining CNC equipment (lathes, mills, grinders, hydraulic broaches, saws, etc.)

• Familiarity with CNC control systems such as FANUC and SIEMENS

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Working knowledge of industrial safety standards
