Entech Staffing Solutions is looking for a skilled Controls Hardware Engineer at a global automation company in Fenton, MI, with occasional travel to Saginaw. This role involves designing, reviewing, and troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and water-based systems for industrial automation projects. The ideal candidate has a strong background in automation controls, experience with tools like AutoCAD and ePlan, and a passion for delivering efficient, cost-effective engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Support job projects from inception through completion.

Organize and manage all designated engineering documents including concepts, proposals, layouts, and detailed designs.

Interface with customers and take/maintain minutes during meetings.

Review all drawings prior to release to ensure project compliance.

Monitor project budgets and ensure cost-effective design solutions.

Ensure engineering compliance with all customer and industry specifications.

Manage design revisions and create change documentation for estimating.

Assist the proposal department with estimates and conceptual designs for new projects.

Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations.

Support and participate in continuous improvement and quality systems.

Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; or

Eight or more years of related experience/training; or

Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in EE or CS.
Skills and Qualifications

Strong ability to read/interpret safety rules, technical manuals, and procedures.

Able to write routine reports and communicate effectively with teams and customers.

Proficient in mathematical concepts including geometry, algebra, percentages, and volume.

Strong problem-solving skills using written, oral, or diagram instructions.
Other Information
-
Must have experience in automation fluid systems design.

Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic control components and their application in industrial automation.

Ability to size valves, tubing, and fittings for pneumatic/hydraulic cylinders and actuators.

Capable of performing engineering calculations for circuit designs.

Proficiency in ePlan and AutoCAD.
-
Familiarity with Festo and Parker product lines.
-
Primary responsibilities include following up on material orders and providing floor support; much of the design work is already completed
