About the Role:

Entech Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fleet and Logistics Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of our client’s logistics department. This critical role will be responsible for developing and implementing effective logistics strategies to optimize efficiency, minimize costs, and ensure the timely delivery of goods to our customers. The ideal candidate will have experience with managing a fleet of drivers and knowledge of Truck Driving, familiarity & experience with shipment planners, overseeing logistics rather than just supervising warehouse Hilo. This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies, and procedures; collaborate with other departments to align logistics activities with business goals; identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.

  • Transportation Management: Manage transportation activities, including carrier selection, route planning, and freight negotiation; ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards; monitor transportation costs and performance metrics.

  • Distribution and Fulfillment: Develop distribution strategies to ensure timely product delivery; monitor order fulfillment processes and implement measures to improve accuracy and on-time delivery; work closely with sales and customer service to address customer inquiries and resolve delivery issues; coordinate with vendors and suppliers.

  • Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, train, and supervise logistics staff; provide coaching and performance feedback; foster a positive work environment.

  • Technology and Systems: Implement and maintain logistics software systems (experience with ERP systems, Epicor preferred, is essential); stay informed about emerging technologies; work with IT staff to address system issues and implement upgrades.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field.

  • 5+ years of related experience in logistics management, specifically within a manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrable experience using an ERP system (Epicor preferred) is essential. Experience with a TMS system is not a substitute.

  • Experience with JIT manufacturing is highly desirable.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $60,000 – $70,000 per year

  • Direct Hire

Schedule:

  • 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday

  • Overtime as necessary

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
