Industrial Seamstress / Sewer
Hourly Rate: $17.00/hour Schedule: Full-Time (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday), with some opportunity for overtime.
Overview
Are you a skilled seamstress with experience operating industrial machinery? We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Industrial Seamstress / Sewer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating specialized sewing equipment to produce high-quality components, ranging from apparel to specialized industrial or automotive parts. Your precision and attention to detail will be key to meeting our strict production and quality standards.
What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities

Operate Industrial Sewing Machines: Expertly use single-needle, double-needle, bar tack, and other industrial sewing machines to stitch various materials according to specifications.

Execute Work Orders: Carefully read, interpret, and follow complex work orders, blueprints, and patterns to ensure accurate product assembly.

Material Preparation: Accurately measure, cut, and prepare materials using appropriate tools, ensuring specifications are met before stitching.

Quality Control: Conduct continuous, thorough quality checks throughout the production process, identifying and immediately correcting any defects.

Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machines, including cleaning, oiling, and making minor adjustments or repairs.

Safety Adherence: Maintain a safe work environment by strictly following all company and industry safety protocols and guidelines.

Manual Dexterity: Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for precise and consistent stitching.

Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to work, ensuring every seam and cut meets exact standards.

Basic Math Skills: Proficiency in basic measurements and calculations for cutting and preparation tasks.

Physical Stamina: The ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift and move materials.

Experience: Prior experience operating industrial sewing machines in a manufacturing setting is strongly preferred.

Troubleshooting Skills: The ability to quickly identify and resolve minor machine malfunctions or production issues.
