Pay Rate: $17.00/hr

Shift: Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM | Flexible hours are needed to support client and program needs.

Position Summary

Entech Staffing Solutions is seeking a compassionate, organized, and motivated Supportive Housing Specialist to join the Supportive Housing team at a local human services organization. This role works directly with clients to help them achieve housing stability, increase independence, and connect with community resources and support services. The ideal candidate is empathetic, professional, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping vulnerable populations succeed in stable housing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Team & Program Support

  • Work collaboratively with the Supportive Housing team to promote a respectful, inclusive, and productive environment

  • Follow all agency policies, procedures, ethical standards, and professional conduct guidelines

  • Participate in team meetings, supervision sessions, trainings, audits, and agency meetings

  • Assist with program presentations, site visits, and community outreach as needed

  • Client Services

  • Conduct assessments to identify client needs, goals, and service plans

  • Assist clients in locating safe and affordable housing within MSHDA guidelines

  • Coordinate with Property Management to support successful housing placement and retention

  • Meet regularly with clients through office visits and community/home visits to monitor progress and provide support

  • Help clients build independence through goal setting, advocacy, referrals, and motivational support

  • Maintain accurate and timely case notes and HMIS documentation

  • Serve as a liaison between clients and Property Management to promote stable housing outcomes

  • Complete MSHDA Housing Quality Standards (HQS) training and coordinate housing inspections

  • Process requests for rental assistance, security deposits, and utility assistance

  • Assist with distribution of donated household items, bus passes, and other essential resources

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

  • Minimum of two years of human services experience

  • Experience working with public housing programs preferred

  • HMIS experience preferred

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and data entry skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Compassionate and professional approach when working with vulnerable populations

  • Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends

  • Property management experience is a plus

  • Reliable transportation required
