Test Technician – Materials Testing

📍 Location: Rochester Hills, MI
💰 Pay: $20/hour
🕒 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform materials testing on leather and interior components using equipment like Taber, Martindale, Crockmeter, Veslic, Instron, and Bally.

  • Prepare and cut test specimens following strict quality standards and work instructions.

  • Receive and label hides and materials from production.

  • Accurately document and file test results and lab data.

  • Help maintain lab cleanliness and organization.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 1+ year of experience in a materials test laboratory or similar environment.

  • Familiarity with lab equipment such as Taber, Martindale, Crockmeter, Veslic, Instron, Bally.

  • Proficiency in Windows OS and Microsoft Excel.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures.

  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
