Job Title: Accounts Receivable Associate
Location: Troy, MI
Pay: $22.00/hr
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (1-hour lunch break)

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable Associate to join our team. This is a temp to hire opportunity. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing the invoicing and payment processes, ensuring timely shipments, maintaining accurate records, and supporting overall financial operations. This is a fully on-site position with no hybrid or remote work options.

Key Responsibilities:

• Invoice orders ready to ship, including verifying order details and calculating shipping costs using Excel

• Prioritize and manage daily tasks to maximize shipment efficiency

• Deposit checks and process credit card payments for same-day shipments

• Enter and analyze data to support the order and payment process, and assist our factor company in collections

• Perform general data entry and administrative tasks

• Post payments from wire transfers, checks, and credit cards into the accounting system

• Share payment posting responsibilities with a fellow AR associate

• Monitor AR accounts and resolve discrepancies with customers

• Communicate with domestic and international customers regarding past due balances

Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in Accounting (minimum requirement)

• At least 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field

• Strong knowledge of GAAP principles

• Excellent multitasking and organizational skills

• Detail- and deadline-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and accounting software

• Strong team player with effective communication skills
