Shift: Afternoon Shift (4:00 PM – 2:00 AM)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Band Operator to join our team at a steel treating facility located in Warren, Michigan. This position plays a vital role in our daily operations by supporting the furnace department, operating machinery, and ensuring the quality of treated steel parts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform banding of treated materials for shipment and further processing

• Safely operate a fork truck (hi-lo) to move materials throughout the facility

• Assist Furnace Operators with load preparation and furnace monitoring

• Cut samples using an abrasive saw for quality control

• Operate the parts coating line:

  • Load line using hi-lo

  • Enter cycle information into computer system

  • Inspect parts for quality

  • Unload completed parts from line

Qualifications:

• Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or steel facility experience preferred

• Fork truck/hi-lo experience required

• Ability to follow safety protocols and work in a fast-paced industrial environment

• Basic computer skills for data entry

• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods

• Team-oriented with strong attention to detail
