CNC Setup Operator
Hours: 5:30am – 3:30pm Monday -Friday, some Saturdays
Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Setup Operator to join a dynamic manufacturing team. This is a fast-paced environment requiring an individual who can independently handle complex setups and ensure efficient and accurate machining operations from day one. Responsibilities:

Perform complete machine setups on CNC milling and/or turning centers with minimal supervision.

Accurately identify and pick up X, Y, and Z datum points.

Execute multiple setups (up to 5-6) daily, demonstrating strong organizational and time-management skills.

Utilize personal dial indicators to achieve precise and repeatable setups.

Proactively determine necessary fixtures, vises, tools, and attachments based on job setup sheets prior to commencing cutting operations.

Collaborate with supervisors and CNC programmers to clarify project specifications and ensure consistent execution.

Dynamically adjust machine spindle speeds and feed rates to optimize cutting performance.

Closely monitor the cutting process, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and prevent errors.

Conduct thorough inspections of finished products to verify dimensional accuracy and uniformity, upholding stringent quality standards.

Perform routine daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks on CNC machines, including lubrication, cleaning, and tool replacement, to ensure optimal machine longevity.

Adhere to a strict schedule and maintain excellent punctuality, understanding the demands of a minimum 55-hour work week.

Safely lift and handle materials and workpieces weighing up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in CNC setup operations.

Demonstrated expertise in setting up and operating CNC machines with Haas, Fanuc, and Fadal controllers.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and setup sheets.

Strong understanding of machining principles, tool selection, and cutting parameters.

Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality parts.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Must possess personal dial indicators for performing setups.
Work Schedule:

Minimum of 55 hours per week.
