Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join a manufacturing team as a Rectifier Team Lead / Advanced Assembler. This dual-role position involves leading a small team while executing complex assembly and electrical wiring tasks. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, leadership potential, and a commitment to quality and safety within a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Supervision

Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to the Rectifier team, ensuring cohesion and efficiency to meet production targets and quality standards.

Partner with the area Supervisor to determine weekly employee schedules and authorize overtime based on business needs.

Arrange and control daily team activities to ensure a smooth workflow, quality production, inventory accuracy, and timely delivery.

Assign tasks and projects to team members based on their skills, expertise, and workload capacity.

Provide input regarding team and individual performance, and assist the Supervisor and HR with documentation for progressive discipline.

Conduct periodic performance check-ins, providing feedback, recognizing achievements, and addressing performance issues.

Assist the Supervisor with tracking attendance and ensuring the accuracy of hourly associates’ timecards.

Mentor hourly associates in the work area and facilitate timely problem-solving.
Advanced Assembly & Wiring

Build assemblies, from start to finish, according to print specifications. This includes laying out and physically mounting devices, wiring to print, and performing OHM testing to ensure quality.

Read, understand, and interpret electrical schematics (with assistance from electricians when needed) to assemble components.

Assemble small components, including intricate electrical wiring related to circuit boards.

Utilize and comprehend engineering and manufacturing documents, including bill of material, assembly drawings, work instructions, and wiring diagrams.

Read and comprehend blueprints and schematics to assemble sub-assembly components (e.g., electronic package, fan, breaker, pot assemblies, wiring panels, and output panels).

Prepare transformer components for assembly, including cleaning, lugging wires, measuring, cutting, and operating a punch press machine.

Complete the final wiring of cabinets by installing panels, routing, harnessing, stripping, and lugging wires as needed.

Maintain and safely operate hand and power tools.
Quality, Safety, & Documentation

Monitor the assembly process to ensure all components and assemblies meet required quality, environmental, and safety regulations and standards.

Follow work order directions to safely produce the required quantity of parts within specifications.

Maintain accurate records of production data in Epicor, work progress, and any encountered issues.

Adhere to all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements (including eye, hand, feet, and hearing protection) to perform the job safely.

Complete and maintain all required operational paperwork.
Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

Advanced knowledge and experience in assembly.
-
Intermediate knowledge and experience in wiring assembly.

Production experience in a fast-paced, continuous improvement, and changing environment.
-
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
