Maintenance & Production Support Technician

Are you a hands-on problem-solver with a knack for keeping things running smoothly, even when it means jumping between tasks? We’re looking for a versatile Maintenance & Production Support Technician to join our team. This isn’t a typical full-time maintenance role; you’ll be a crucial part of our operation, providing essential maintenance support while also lending a hand with metal processing, packaging, and other general shop duties as needed.

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and tackle basic mechanical and electrical repairs on various plant equipment and machinery. You’ll be key to minimizing downtime.

• Slitter Savvy: Assist with the setup, operation, and support of our metal slitting machines, which includes loading/unloading coils and conducting quality checks.

• Packaging Pro: Support our packaging operations, ensuring finished coils are properly banded, skidded, and ready for shipment.

• Proactive Problem-Solver: Monitor equipment performance closely, identifying potential mechanical issues before they become major headaches.

• Safety First: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, always adhering to company safety protocols.

• Team Player: Collaborate seamlessly with operators, supervisors, and other team members to ensure smooth workflow and support cross-functional production needs.

• Truck Troubleshooter: Provide assistance with mechanical issues on trucks as needed.

• Proven ability to fix and work on machines, including electrical components.

• Experience with or ability to quickly learn how to operate and maintain a slitter machine.

• A strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to pivot between maintenance tasks and production support (processing metal, packaging, general shop duties).

• A commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Hours: 6am-4:30pm Monday -Friday

Pay rate: $21-22/hr.
