Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Engineer/Technician with a strong passion for ensuring the highest quality in metal parts manufacturing. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough quality control inspections on metal parts utilizing a variety of precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, CMM (preferred), and various gauges, to meticulously verify product conformity.

  • Lead root cause analysis investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions to address and resolve quality discrepancies.

  • Develop, document, and implement clear and comprehensive quality control procedures and work instructions.

  • Collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to proactively address quality issues and drive continuous improvement in overall product quality.

  • Perform regular and systematic audits of production processes to pinpoint areas for enhancement and optimization.

  • Develop and maintain key quality metrics and generate insightful reports to track performance, identify emerging trends, and drive data-driven decisions.

  • Ensure strict adherence and compliance with all relevant industry quality standards and regulations.

  • Conduct engaging and informative training sessions for production personnel on essential quality control procedures and techniques.

  • Perform meticulous gage calibration, maintain accurate calibration records, and ensure the upkeep of our Quality lab.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related technical field.

  • A minimum of 3 years of a Quality Engineer or Technician within a metal parts manufacturing environment.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of essential quality control tools and techniques, including Statistical Process Control (SPC), Six Sigma methodologies, and lean manufacturing principles.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of various precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

  • Working knowledge of CMM operation and programming is a significant plus but not strictly mandatory.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proven ability to analyze data effectively and make sound, data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent communication skills, fostering effective collaboration and teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment.

  • Experience with IATF 16949 and other relevant quality standards and regulations is highly desirable.
