CNC Machine Operator
Join A Manufacturing Team!

Entech Staffing is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join a production team as a CNC Machine Operator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to learn the fundamentals of precision machining.

Compensation: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour, based on experience.

Hours: 7am-5:30pm or 5:30pm-4am.

Location: Shelby Township, MI.


Key Responsibilities :

As a CNC Machine Operator/Trainee, your primary duties will include:

  1. Machine Operation & Monitoring:

    • Loading and Unloading: Carefully load raw materials into CNC machines and unload finished parts upon cycle completion.

    • Process Monitoring: Observe machine operation and make minor adjustments (machine offsets) as trained to ensure high-quality parts are produced within specified tolerances.

  2. Machine Maintenance & Cleaning (5S):

    • Cleaning: Diligently clear metal chips, sweep, mop, and use degreaser/shop rags to maintain a clean and efficient workspace, machine, and inspection area (5S Participation).

    • Lubrication & Coolant: Monitor and maintain coolant concentration levels using a refractometer (training provided), adding coolant and water as necessary to ensure optimal machine performance and accuracy.

  3. Quality Inspection:

    • Perform in-process inspection of manufactured parts to ensure they meet quality standards.

    • Utilize and maintain various measuring tools (gages) such as Dial Gages, bore gages, micrometers, reef gages, and calipers. Training will be provided on proper use and care.

  4. Problem Recognition & Reporting:

    • Identify and promptly report any mechanical, electrical, or software-related machine problems to the supervisor.

  5. Record Keeping & Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records of machine settings, materials used, parts produced, and in-process inspection results to ensure consistent and repeatable production runs. Training will be provided in all standard operating and reporting procedures.

  6. Safety Adherence:

    • Strictly follow all established safety procedures and protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and ear plugs.


Required Qualities:

  • Willingness to Learn: A strong commitment to learning and consistently following standard operating procedures.

  • Flexibility & Stamina: Ability to move between various machines as assigned and continuously handle parts throughout the shift.

  • Reliability: Strict adherence to punctuality and a commitment to 100% attendance.

  • Communication: Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.


Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with any of the following are encouraged to apply, but training will be provided for all necessary skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Prior experience operating CNC machines.

  • Familiarity with CNC machine interfaces (e.g., FANUC, SIEMENS).

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints or understand 2D part representations.

  • Saw experience is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of industrial safety procedures and protocols.
