Machine Operator Beverage Manufacturer– 2nd Shift – Downingtown PA

Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (with potential transition to 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
Pay Rate: $25/hour


Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our beverage manufacturing production team on 2nd shift. This role is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a brewery, food production, or manufacturing environment
    (HACCP, SQF, and GMP knowledge highly preferred)

  • Ability to work in varying temperature environments

  • Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling at least 50 lbs repeatedly

  • Ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods (standing, walking, climbing, bending, twisting, etc.)

  • Willingness to work 3rd shift as needed

  • Must have or be willing to obtain a forklift license


Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, start, operate, adjust, and properly shut down production equipment

  • Perform changeovers efficiently to minimize downtime

  • Monitor, record, and evaluate equipment performance

  • Operate equipment used in mixing, processing, finishing, and packaging products

  • Ensure proper use and rotation of raw materials (FIFO) and report any irregularities

  • Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary work areas throughout the shift

  • Complete end-of-shift cleanup, including waste removal and equipment care

  • Communicate effectively with team members and management

  • Assist in training new and existing employees

  • Identify operational issues and collaborate with supervisors on solutions

  • Notify maintenance of complex equipment issues beyond standard operation

  • Maintain accurate production records and shift reports

  • Review process paperwork for accuracy and completeness


Skills & Competencies

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Mechanical aptitude; knowledge of pneumatic systems, industrial electricity, steam systems, and sanitary piping is a plus
