Under the direct mentorship of a Senior Engineer, you will follow a clear three-year development roadmap designed to take you from a trainee to a fully independent Engineer. You will play a pivotal role in bringing specialized design work in-house, directly impacting our bottom line and innovation strategy.

1. Master Photometric Design

Design the Future: Use industry-leading software to create internal photometric layouts, optimizing light distribution for safety, efficiency, and aesthetics.

Innovate: Reduce our reliance on external consultants by mastering in-house designs—a move projected to lower design costs by over 60%.
2. Set the Standard for Quality

Material Excellence: Develop and enforce construction standards for utility-grade equipment. You’ll ensure the hardware we install today lasts for decades.

Supplier Partnership: Work directly with Supply Chain and vendors to vet new products and resolve technical defects, ensuring construction projects stay on schedule.
3. Influence the Business Side of Engineering

Cost Management: Monitor material pricing and lead competitive bidding processes for high-turnover products.

Strategic Estimates: Provide accurate CIAC (Contribution in Aid of Construction) cost estimates and track project variances to ensure financial health.
4. Drive Continuous Improvement

Product Evolution: Introduce new lighting technologies and construction standards to enhance our utility portfolio.

Operations Support: Provide on-the-ground technical expertise to field crews and contribute to long-term asset management strategies.
Who You Are

Educated: You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred).

A Lifelong Learner: You are eager to undergo intensive training in photometric engineering and utility-grade material standards.

Analytical: You enjoy the “puzzle”of optimizing a design for both cost-efficiency and technical performance.

Communicator: You can translate technical specs into clear guidance for vendors and supply chain partners.
Preferred (But Not Required) Skills

Familiarity with AutoCAD or lighting design software (e.g., AGi32, Visual).

Knowledge of material science or structural standards.
