Lifeguard – $17/hr
Location: Farmington Hills, MI

We’re looking for a reliable and safety-focused Pool Attendant to join our team in Farmington Hills, MI. This position typically pays $17/hour, and is perfect for strong swimmers who are passionate about safety and enjoy working outdoors.

Shift Availability:
Our pool is open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Shifts may vary based on availability and scheduling needs.

Requirements:

• Must be a strong swimmer

• Completion of a lifeguard training course

• Current CPR certification required

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitoring and Surveillance

• Supervise swimmers to prevent accidents and ensure safety

• Recognize and respond quickly to signs of distress or unsafe behavior

• Enforce pool rules and safety regulations

2. Rescue and Emergency Response

• Perform rescues and provide emergency assistance as needed

• Administer CPR, first aid, and use AEDs when necessary

• Communicate with emergency services in serious situations

3. Prevention and Education

• Educate patrons about pool rules and water safety

• Identify and warn against hazardous conditions

• Promote safe behaviors, especially for children and new swimmers

4. Facility and Equipment Maintenance

• Inspect and maintain safety gear and rescue equipment

• Keep lifeguard station and pool area clean and orderly

• Report maintenance issues or hazards to supervisors

5. Record Keeping

• Document incidents, rescues, and disciplinary actions

• Maintain logs for attendance, safety checks, and maintenance

Dress Code:
Swimsuit or swim trunks, lifeguard T-shirt (provided)
