Industrial Maintenance Mechanic – Press Stamping

Entech Staffing is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a metal stamping company located in Pontiac, MI.

Primary Purpose

You will be responsible for installing, repairing, and cleaning mechanical and pneumatic systems and components of industrial machinery and facilities, including large presses, dies, and forklifts.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.

  • Perform visual inspections, cleaning, and testing of machinery and equipment.

  • Execute and follow preventative maintenance schedules to maximize machine productivity and keep presses running to quality specifications.

  • Perform repairs on the physical structure of buildings and facilities.

  • Apply knowledge of sequence of operation for all machinery.

  • Follow all code requirements and company standards when installing or repairing devices or components.

  • If skilled, perform welding (stick, MIG, torches) and cutting/brazing.

  • Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other structures as needed.

  • Perform all tasks in a safe, neat, and workmanlike manner.

What You Bring

  • Required Experience: Previous, relevant experience maintaining presses in stamping or shearing operations or the repair of similar heavy equipment (pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or mechanical systems) is essential.

  • Technical Skills: Proven ability to work on pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems. Experience with both mechanical and high-voltage electrical repair is highly desirable.

  • Tools: Must have your own tools.

  • Compliance: Must be able to pass a background check.

Shift & Pay Details

  • Standard Shift: 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM (2nd/3rd Shift)

  • Training: You will be required to train on 1st Shift (5:00 AM – 3:30 PM) for a defined period before transitioning to the standard shift.

  • Compensation: Pay rate is competitive and based on your experience, knowledge, and skill set. This includes an attendance premium. $24/hr.
