Preventative Maintenance Technician
Are you a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a knack for keeping things running smoothly? We’re looking for a dedicated Preventative Maintenance Technician to join our team and play a crucial role in maintaining our equipment and facilities.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for executing preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring our machinery operates at peak efficiency, and contributing to a safe and clean work environment. You’ll have the opportunity to learn and grow your skills while supporting our production and environmental initiatives.
Pay rate: $17-20/hr.
Hours: 1st and 2nd shift openings
Responsibilities:

Perform Preventative Maintenance: Execute scheduled and assigned preventative maintenance on CNC Lathes/Mills, general machines, and Hobbers/Shapers.

Coolant System Management: Monitor coolant systems and maintain accurate documentation as required.

Chip Conveyor Maintenance: Clean and repair chip conveyors to ensure efficient operation.

Lubrication Management: Responsible for the lubrication (lube oil and grease) of all production cells.

Chemical Storage Upkeep: Maintain excellent housekeeping standards in the chemical storage area.

General Building & Janitorial Support: Assist with general building and janitorial maintenance tasks.

Recycling Program Support: Monitor and maintain records for our recycling efforts.

Maintenance Team Assistance: Provide support to Maintenance Technicians II in completing various tasks.

Skill Development: Engage in ongoing training with Maintenance Technicians II to enhance skills in hydraulics and pneumatics.

Janitorial Backup: Assist or back up janitorial staff as needed.

Adherence to Standards: Consistently follow all housekeeping, safety (including lockout/tagout procedures), and environmental requirements (recycling, labeling, spill procedures, and programs).

Quality & Environmental Compliance: Comply with all applicable requirements for our Quality and Environmental Management Systems.

Continuous Improvement: Proactively submit ideas for continuous improvement in safety, productivity, quality, and housekeeping to your supervisor or the HR suggestion box.

Other Duties: Perform other duties as defined by your supervisor.
Qualifications:

Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably with preventative maintenance responsibilities.

Familiarity with CNC machinery (lathes, mills), hobbers, and shapers is a plus.

Basic understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.

Ability to follow detailed instructions and schedules.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Knowledge of safety procedures, including lockout/tagout.

Ability to lift and move equipment as needed.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
