Spray Painter

We’re looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Spray Painter to join a team located in Madison Heights. In this role, you’ll be responsible for painting a variety of décor items using a handheld pneumatic spray gun, ensuring high-quality finishes on diverse materials. Hours: Monday -Friday, OT required on Saturdays. 6am- 2:30pm

Pay rate: $22-24/hr.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Paint letters, numbers, signs, and other décor items using a handheld pneumatic spray gun.

• Spray paint wood, metal, plastic, and foam décor components.

• Select and use the proper paint and primer for each type of material.

• Inspect finished products for quality before they leave the paint area.

• Maintain a clean work area, including cleaning and changing filters as needed.

• Keep the floor clear of debris.

• Clean and maintain spray guns.

• Perform other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.

• Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience using gravity-fed sprayers is a must.

• Strong attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude.

• Excellent comprehension and analytical abilities.

• Ability to work under pressure.

• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.

• Willingness to work flexible and overtime hours, including some Saturdays and mandatory overtime exceeding 50 hours during March-November.

• A general understanding of signage and graphics materials, substrates, and manufacturing processes (preferred).

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds of material regularly.

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

• Must perform repetitive movements.

• Must wear safety glasses at all times while in the shop and a respirator as required for certain tasks.
