Tool Crib Attendant (2-Month Project)

💲 Pay: $17.50–$18.50 per hour
🕒 Shifts Available:

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

📅 Project Duration: Approximately 2 months
🚀 Start Date: March 4th

🔧 Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Tool Crib Attendant for a short-term, 2-month project at a large industrial facility in Frenchtown, MI. This role supports maintenance and operations by managing, distributing, and maintaining tools, equipment, and consumables to ensure safe and efficient daily operations.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Issue and receive tools, equipment, and supplies for maintenance and production personnel

• Track inventory accurately using inventory software or databases

• Inspect tools upon return for wear, damage, or safety concerns

• Perform minor tool maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, and coordinating repairs or sharpening

• Maintain a clean, organized, secure, and safety-compliant tool crib

• Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking and ordering supplies

• Prepare tool kits and assist employees with locating or replacing tools as needed

✅ Required Qualifications & Screening

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, industrial, maintenance, tool room, or warehouse environment

• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring instruments

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Basic computer skills and comfort using inventory tracking systems

• Ability to communicate effectively with operations and maintenance teams

• Ability to lift, move, and organize tools and equipment

• Must pass a background check

• Must pass alcohol and drug testing prior to start
