2nd Shift CNC Maintenance Technician
Location: Macomb, MI 48044
Shift: 2nd Shift – Monday–Friday: 8:30 PM–5:00 AM & Saturday: 2:00 PM–10:00 PM (as scheduled)

Position Overview

We’re seeking a skilled CNC Maintenance Technician to join our team on the 2nd shift. You will perform preventative maintenance and repair duties on CNC equipment, general machines, and production cells to ensure smooth and safe operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on CNC lathes, mills, hobbers, shapers, and other equipment per schedule or assignment

  • Monitor and maintain coolant systems with proper documentation

  • Clean and repair chip conveyors and support equipment

  • Lubricate production cell machines with oil and grease

  • Oversee housekeeping of the chemical storage area and general janitorial duties

  • Monitor and log recycling and environmental compliance

  • Support Maintenance Technician II with diagnostic and repair tasks

  • Enhance hydraulics and pneumatics skills through on-the-job training

  • Back up janitorial staff when required

  • Follow strict housekeeping, safety (Lockout/Tagout), and environmental procedures, including spill response and labeling

  • Comply with quality and environmental system standards

  • Proactively suggest safety, productivity, quality, and organizational improvements

  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor

Compensation

  • $19–$34 per hour, depending on experience

  • Technicians with electrical expertise typically start around $30/hr

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 1–2 years of maintenance or machine operator experience

  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hydraulics/pneumatics

  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively with a team

  • Strong attendance and ability to work weekend shift as scheduled

  • Electrical experience preferred (higher pay for those with electrical skills)
