Facilities & Maintenance Technician

This role is the backbone of their operations, ensuring both production machinery and physical building stay in peak condition.

Shift Details

Standard Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

Weekends: Up to 8 hours (typically 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM) as needed based on production demands.

Pay rate: $20-24/hr.
Core Responsibilities
Your day-to-day will involve a mix of facility upkeep, machinery support, and team coordination:

General Facility Upkeep: Perform minor plumbing repairs, lighting replacements, painting, furniture assembly, and general “handyman”tasks.

Equipment Support: Assist with Preventative Maintenance (PM) on production equipment, floor scrubbers, forklifts, and conveyors.

Fluid Management: Act as the alternate Coolant Technician to ensure machinery remains operational.

Team Leadership: Prioritize tasks for, direct, and train janitorial staff; manage inventory for cleaning supplies.

Safety & Compliance: Enforce recycling requirements, follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and adhere to environmental protocols (spill response, labeling, etc.).

Operational Support: Assist Shipping and Receiving as needed and maintain the organization/cleanliness of the parking lot.

Equipment Operation: Daily operation of forklifts (including Hyster models) and aerial lifts.
What We’re Looking For
We need someone proactive who can work independently and spot a problem before it becomes a breakdown.
Required Proficiency:

Mechanical Aptitude: Strong experience in facility maintenance (plumbing, heating/cooling, and general repairs).

Electrical Knowledge: Basic to intermediate electrical experience is highly desired.

Tool Savvy: Proficient in the use of tool room equipment and various hand/power tools.

Safety Minded: Strict adherence to Housekeeping, Safety, and Quality/Environmental systems.
Preferred Qualifications:

State Certified Industrial Storm Water Operator experience is a significant plus.
