Position Summary:

Entech Staffing is seeking a Part-Time Project Coordinator for a local educational institution in Flint, MI. The Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a campus-based support center that provides essential resources and services to students and the surrounding community. This role supervises and schedules student workers, interns, and volunteers while ensuring the smooth operation of key service areas such as a food pantry, resource closet, front desk, and special programs. The Coordinator also manages reporting and data tracking, maintains organized service areas, and supports initiatives that enhance student success and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Food Pantry Oversight

  • Order or purchase groceries and necessary supplies to maintain a well-stocked pantry.

  • Coordinate with local food banks, community partners, and retailers.

  • Manage pantry operations including inventory, signage, organization, and distribution systems.

  • Record daily participation and usage data.

  • Assign tasks to maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness for student and community use.

2. Resource Closet Management

  • Assign staff and volunteer duties to maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked resource closet.

  • Track daily participation and usage data.

  • Oversee setup, signage, and organization of the space.

  • Coordinate donation pickups with local partners when needed.

  • Maintain records of incoming donations and inventory.

3. Staff & Volunteer Coordination

  • Create and manage schedules for student workers, interns, and volunteers to ensure all service areas are adequately staffed.

  • Delegate daily tasks to support high-quality service delivery.

  • Facilitate onboarding, training, and job-shadowing to ensure team members understand responsibilities across all service areas.

  • Provide ongoing supervision and support.

4. Program & Event Coordination

  • Initiate, plan, and oversee program activities such as food distributions, workshops, awareness events, and other initiatives aligned with the center’s mission.

  • Support outreach efforts and engagement activities for students and the community.

5. Front Desk Coordination

  • Ensure consistent front-desk coverage by scheduling staff and volunteers.

  • Oversee front-desk operations including answering phones, greeting visitors, service check-ins, and general assistance.

  • Ensure accurate information and a welcoming environment for all guests.

6. Reporting & Administrative Duties

  • Complete monthly and periodic reports for all service areas and programs.

  • Maintain accurate data collection systems and documentation.

  • Monitor inventory, supplies, and program participation metrics.

  • Support general administrative and operational needs of the center.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree required.

  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience.

  • Must be certified in ServSafe (3 months of hire).

  • Experience coordinating volunteers, interns, or part-time staff is a plus.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations in a community-centered environment.

  • Proficiency with basic data entry, reporting, and record-keeping systems.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced, service-oriented environment with frequent interaction with students, staff, volunteers, and community members.

  • May require occasional lifting and movement of donations, pantry items, and supplies.

  • Occasional use of a personal vehicle may be required; mileage reimbursement provided where applicable.
