Job Position: Insurance Account Manager

Location: Troy, MI 48084

Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Personal Lines Account Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing client accounts, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to the overall success of the agency.

Responsibilities:

• Client Service:

  • Field and respond to client inquiries via phone, email, and in-person.

  • Assist clients with policy changes, claims assistance, insurance advice, and payment processing.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and personalized service.

• Carrier Relations:

  • Interact with underwriters and other carrier representatives on behalf of clients.

  • Address underwriting questions, assist with home inspection concerns, and resolve other underwriting issues.

• Sales & Growth:

  • Identify and cross-sell additional lines of business to existing clients.

  • Contribute to new business development efforts as needed.

• Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate client records and policy information.

  • Assist with agency-wide projects and initiatives as required.

Qualifications:

• Required:

  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance License

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a personal lines insurance role (e.g., Account Manager, Customer Service Representative)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal)

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Preferred:

  • Experience with agency management systems (AMS)

  • Knowledge of various personal lines insurance products (e.g., homeowners, auto, renters)

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills

  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software experience
