Position Type: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week, some schedule flexibility; overtime as needed)
Pay Rate: $23.00 – $25.00/hour (Based on experience)
Location: On-Site in Birmingham
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Account Reconciliation Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will focus on accurately reporting and reconciling daily transaction activities across insurance agencies under a consolidated reporting structure. You will maintain general ledger accounts, investigate variances, and collaborate directly with accounting leadership to standardise processes.
Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Oversight: Act as the primary accountant for a collection of agency accounts, reporting directly to the Corporate Controller and indirectly to the CFO.

Account Reconciliation: Perform daily agency transaction reconciliations, month-end account closing activities, and bank reconciliations across multiple accounts.

General Ledger Maintenance: Prepare and post journal entries and maintain overall GL accuracy.

Process Improvement: Collaborate with the reconciliation team to develop, refine, and standardise accounting processes and procedures.

Interdepartmental Support: Assist various internal departments with accounting queries and technical issues while adhering to standard accounting principles (GAAP) and company procedures.

General Accounting: Support special projects and other general accounting duties as needed.

Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel.
