Electrical Test Technician

Entech Staffing is looking for a detail-oriented Electrical Test Technician to join a manufacturing team. In this role, you will be the final line of defense in ensuring products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and functionality before they reach customers.

Position Overview

  • Wage: $24.00+ per hour (Dependent on Experience)

  • Shift: Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, could potentially work Saturdays or overtime

  • Location: Troy, MI

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance: Utilize specifications, drawings, certified electrical standards, and customer orders to ensure products match all requirements.

  • Product Testing: Perform standard testing processes on a variety of equipment at various points in the manufacturing process.

  • System Diagnostics: Check materials, procedures, and mechanical/electrical systems; diagnose errors or technical problems.

  • Troubleshooting: Provide recommendations to resolve testing problems or equipment malfunctions.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all inspections and test results.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand one-lines, schematics, and ladder diagrams.

  • Ability to verify electrical components and utilize meter equipment.

  • Proficiency in reviewing engineering specifications and blueprints to determine product conformance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Electrician license or 3+ years in commercial electrical/facilities management.

  • Knowledge of NEC 2020 code book and electrical standards/certifications (UL, ETL, CSA).

  • Deep understanding of electrical physics and hazards associated with energized equipment.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with Epicor ERP/MRP and Microsoft 365.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to resolve technical concerns efficiently.
