Emergency Shelter Shelter Case Aide (Part-Time)
Position Type: Part-Time (24–30 hours per week)

Consistent Schedule: Sundays and Mondays, 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM

Flexible Coverage: Remaining weekly hours (to reach 24–30 hours) will vary based on filling in for staff vacations, call-offs, and open shifts.
Position Overview
Entech Staffing is seeking dedicated, vigilant, and compassionate individuals to join our team as an Emergency Shelter Program Assistant. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring a safe, supportive, and structured environment for individuals and families sheltering in local motels. You will be on the front lines of crisis resolution, guest support, and operational safety.
Key Responsibilities

Guest Support & Relationship Building: Build meaningful rapport with guests sheltering in motels. Respond to resident requests, assist with conflict resolution, and handle crisis situations with empathy and professionalism.

Safety & Security: Provide building coverage for our Emergency Shelter Program. Ensure the general safety of shelter guests by monitoring the grounds, conducting regular walk-throughs, and checking video cameras/surveillance equipment.

Front Desk & Administration: Provide front desk support by answering phones, performing light clerical work, and greeting/screening residents, visitors, and volunteers.

Data Entry & Documentation: Complete paperwork and data entry thoroughly and on a timely basis (including tracking services rendered). Utilize data systems such as HMIS (Homeless Management Information System), Link2Feed, daily call logs, daily stats sheets, client records, and daily house logs.

Operations & Logistics:

Assist with delivering meals and other essential items to shelter guests. (Note: This can involve heavy lifting).

Perform and document weekly inspections of onsite units.

Assist with coordinating guest move-ins and exits as needed.

Team Collaboration & Professional Development: Participate in staff and team meetings, attend trainings and workshops to enhance professional development, and represent Lighthouse positively in the community.

Supervisor Support: Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor to ensure smooth shelter operations.
Qualifications & Requirements

Reliable Availability: Must be able to commit to the fixed Sunday/Monday night schedule (6 PM – 2 AM) and maintain flexibility to pick up on-call or vacation-coverage hours during the week.

Physical Stamina: Ability to walk shelter grounds frequently and handle heavy lifting for meal/supply deliveries.

Skills: Strong communication skills, conflict resolution abilities, and comfort using technology for data entry (HMIS experience is a plus, but training will be provided).
