Assistant Teacher – Early Child Development Center

Pay: $16.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 32 hrs/wk
Position: Temporary

Entech Staffing is seeking a Classroom Assistant for a college’s Child Development Center. This position supports the Lead Teacher in implementing classroom programs and maintaining a positive learning environment for children.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Lead Teacher with classroom activities and program implementation.

  • Set up learning centers and prepare classroom materials and supplies.

  • Supervise the classroom when the Lead Teacher is absent from the room.

  • Maintain classroom organization and assist with housekeeping duties.

  • Help prepare monthly newsletters and classroom display boards.

  • Support children’s individual needs and maintain classroom order.

  • Attend staff meetings, team meetings, training, and center-sponsored events.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 college credits in Child Development and/or Early Childhood Education.

  • Must meet applicable childcare licensing health and staffing requirements.

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.

  • One year of experience working with children in a licensed childcare facility preferred.

  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred.
