Associate Teacher – Early Childhood Learning Center

Pay: $19.97/hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:15 AM–5:15 PM, 40 hrs/wk
Position: Temporary

Entech Staffing is seeking an Associate Teacher for a college’s Early Childhood Learning Center. This position is responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate programs for young children while maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement curriculum based on children’s individual needs, interests, abilities, and developmental levels.

  • Lead daily small and large group activities, including outdoor learning experiences.

  • Maintain an organized, safe, and welcoming classroom environment.

  • Monitor children’s development and maintain assessments, screenings, and required records.

  • Communicate with parents, conduct conferences and home visits, and prepare monthly newsletters.

  • Collaborate with teaching staff and administration to maintain program quality and licensing compliance.

  • Assist with classroom housekeeping, supplies, and equipment.

  • Attend staff meetings, training, and required events.

  • Maintain confidentiality and follow center policies and professional standards.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher in Child Development or Early Childhood Education, or a current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.

  • One year of experience working with children in a licensed childcare facility.

  • Successful completion of student fieldwork at a nationally accredited early childhood education center.

  • Knowledge of HighScope preschool curriculum preferred.

  • Must meet applicable childcare licensing health and staffing requirements.

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.

  • Must have reliable personal transportation for home visits, grocery shopping, and center-related errands.
