Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team in an automated manufacturing environment. In this role, you will provide daily direction to technicians, oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, drive continuous improvement, and ensure equipment reliability to minimize production downtime.

Key Responsibilities

Communication & Team Leadership

  • Provide day-to-day direction, technical guidance, and support to maintenance technicians.

  • Assign and prioritize work orders based on production needs and equipment criticality.

  • Coordinate shift activities to ensure timely completion of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.

  • Generate PM schedules and assign work orders using SAP.

  • Support onboarding, training, and skills development while promoting a culture of teamwork and accountability.

Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and automated systems.

  • Drive rapid response initiatives to minimize production downtime and resolve root causes of failures.

  • Support the installation, commissioning, relocation, and startup of facility, manufacturing, and automation equipment.

  • Oversee hardware installation (computers, monitors, printers) for office spaces (excluding software/programming).

Preventive Maintenance & Inventory Control

  • Coordinate and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, ensuring all work is accurately logged in SAP.

  • Monitor equipment performance to drive reliability, OEE, and key maintenance KPIs.

  • Maintain complete maintenance records, work orders, downtime documentation, and troubleshooting lessons learned.

  • Administer the spare parts Kanban system; manage stock levels, organization, purchasing coordination, and inventory traceability.

Continuous Improvement & Safety

  • Participate in root cause analysis, lean manufacturing, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., “Change for Better”meetings).

  • Partner with Engineering and Production teams to reduce maintenance costs and improve operational efficiency.

  • Enforce a safety-first culture in full compliance with OSHA, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), environmental, and quality standards.

  • Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Technical Skills

  • PLC Troubleshooting: Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar systems.

  • Robotics: Fanuc, ABB, Motoman, or related automated systems.

  • Systems Expertise: Electrical systems (up to 480V), hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

  • Mechanical: Advanced mechanical troubleshooting and repair.

  • Documentation: Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

  • Software: Experience with CMMS systems. SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills are strongly preferred.

Experience & Physical Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of maintenance experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.

  • Leadership: Prior experience leading, supervising, or coordinating maintenance personnel preferred.

  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Environment: Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or off-shift hours as needed.

  • The position will be on our Day Shift operation, however, as we begin to bring in equipment for our new line, there will be days / times where the individual will need to stay over a few hours into our Afternoon Shift or come in earlier to support the equipment getting assembled and to learn and understand it.

     This will be a working Supervisor role.
