Put Your Machining & Inspection Skills to Work!

Are you a hands-on machinist or quality professional who knows your way around precision measuring equipment? We’re looking for someone with a strong machine shop background and experience inspecting metal components to join our team!

This is a great opportunity for someone who understands machining, tolerances, and precision measurement and enjoys working directly with parts, gauges, and inspection equipment. We’re especially interested in candidates with experience setting up inspection gauges and performing basic calibration.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Perform hands-on inspections of machined metal components to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.

  • Set up and utilize a variety of inspection gauges, including snap gauges, attribute gauges, bore gauges, and height gauges.

  • Perform basic calibration of measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators/gauges.

  • Use precision measuring equipment such as CMMs, micrometers, and calipers to verify part dimensions and tolerances.

  • Identify quality issues, investigate root causes, and assist with corrective actions.

  • Work closely with machining, production, and engineering teams to address quality concerns and improve processes.

  • Maintain calibration records, inspection documentation, and quality reports.

  • Perform quality audits and help maintain the quality lab.

  • Assist with developing inspection procedures and work instructions.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in quality inspection, machining, or metal parts manufacturing.

  • Machine shop experience is highly preferred!

  • Hands-on experience setting up and using precision inspection gauges.

  • Working knowledge of snap gauges, bore gauges, height gauges, and other inspection tools.

  • Experience with basic calibration of calipers, micrometers, and dial gauges.

  • Ability to read blueprints and understand dimensional tolerances.

  • Strong understanding of machining processes and metal components.

  • Experience with CMM operation or programming is a plus, but not required.

  • Familiarity with IATF 16949, SPC, or other quality systems is beneficial.

  • Engineering degree or associate degree is preferred but not required. Relevant hands-on experience is what matters most!

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Competitive pay ranging from $25–$42/hr., depending on experience.

  • Consistent first-shift schedule, Monday–Friday.

  • Full-time hours with a stable weekday schedule.

  • Opportunity to put your machining and technical inspection experience to use in a quality-focused role.

If you have a machine shop background and know how to work with precision measuring equipment, we’d love to hear from you!
