Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Chemistry Lab Associate for a short-term, month-long assignment. This role provides critical operational support by preparing laboratory environments, maintaining equipment, and coordinating directly with instructional staff. Candidates with hands-on chemistry lab experience or transferable skills in technical environment prep, inventory handling, or precise organizational roles are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with complete laboratory room setup, including preparing beakers, specialized lab equipment, and required materials prior to sessions.

• Maintain ongoing communication with instructors to coordinate lab needs, monitor supply levels, and ensure proper setup specifications.

• Keep laboratory spaces clean, safe, organized, and fully stocked throughout the day.

• Follow standard safety and sanitation guidelines for handling laboratory glassware and equipment.

Qualifications & Transferable Skills

• Previous experience in a chemistry or science laboratory environment, or strong transferable background in technical setup, sanitation, or inventory management.

• Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with instructors and staff.

• Ability to follow detailed procedures and work independently to meet tight lab schedules.
