Packager & Team Lead Backup (1st Shift)

We are seeking an organized, driven, and self-motivated 1st Shift Packager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for securely wrapping, packaging, and preparing our high-quality custom products for shipment.

This is not just a packing job—we are looking for a reliable individual with Hi-Lo experience who has the leadership potential to step up and act as the Backup Shipping Supervisor when the primary supervisor is out of the building.

• Pay Rate: $18.00 – $19.00 / hour (Depending on experience)

• Core Hours: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday

• Availability: Must be available for additional overtime hours on Fridays and Saturdays as production needs demand.

• Packaging & Logistics: Construct custom boxes, securely package finished products, and ensure all shipments are wrapped according to company standards.

• Leadership Backup: Step in as the acting Shipping Supervisor when the supervisor is out of the building, ensuring smooth dock operations and team productivity.

• Material Prep: Pull necessary hardware, touch-up paint, and accessories required for final shipments. Perform light assembly or painting as needed.

• Inventory & Documentation: Maintain an accurate inventory of shipping materials and supplies; complete material requisition forms for hardware when stock is low.

• Hi-Lo Operation: Safely and efficiently operate a Hi-Lo to load/unload transport trucks (for licensed/certified operators).

• Quality & Safety: Follow all quality control procedures, report defects or safety concerns to management immediately, and strictly adhere to standard safety practices.

• Shop Stewardship: Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of debris. Use time efficiently to maintain high productivity.

• Equipment Proficiency: Ability to safely use power drills, power nailers, industrial staplers, and tape guns.

• Measurement & Literacy: Ability to read/understand tape measurements accurately and follow detailed written and oral instructions.

• Leadership Qualities: Strong organizational skills, a self-starter mindset, and the confidence to lead a shift when necessary.

• Certifications: Prior Hi-Lo experience is required (certification preferred or willingness to be certified).

• Logistics: Must have reliable transportation to ensure consistent attendance.

• Ability to regularly lift, push, or pull up to 65 pounds of material.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on a concrete shop floor.

• Comfortable with frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive movements associated with packaging.
