We are hiring experienced Auto Mechanics / Automotive Technicians for a busy, fast-paced shop in the Detroit area. This is a long-term opportunity for skilled technicians who are confident in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of automotive vehicles.

We are looking for dependable technicians with strong mechanical ability, diagnostic skills, and experience working in a professional auto repair or dealership-style environment.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair cars, trucks, and light-duty vehicles

• Perform preventative maintenance (PM services) and full vehicle repairs

• Inspect, test, and verify vehicle systems for safety and performance

• Complete vehicle inspections and post-repair quality checks

• Work on a variety of automotive systems including:

  • Engine performance & drivability issues

  • Automotive electrical systems & wiring diagnostics

  • Brake repair & ABS systems

  • Steering & suspension systems

  • Heating & A/C (HVAC) systems

  • Transmission & powertrain components

• Use scan tools and diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve issues

• Perform road tests to confirm repairs and proper operation

• Maintain accurate repair documentation and work orders

• Work efficiently in a team-oriented shop environment

• Assist with mentoring or supporting junior technicians when needed

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Ability to work in both shop and outdoor environments

• Frequent standing, bending, crouching, kneeling, and movement throughout the day

• Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced automotive repair shop

• Previous experience as an Auto Mechanic, Automotive Technician, or Automotive Repair Technician

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

• Experience with scan tools and automotive diagnostic equipment

• Ability to read and understand repair information and vehicle systems

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills

• Must have own tools and locking toolbox

• ASE Certification preferred but not required

• Automotive electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting

• Engine performance and drivability diagnosis

• Brake, suspension, and steering repair

• HVAC / A/C system repair

• Dealership, fleet, or independent shop experience

• Ability to work on multiple vehicle makes and models

• Leadership or mentoring experience

• Guaranteed full-time hours (40+ per week)

• Overtime and weekend work available/required as needed
