Job Description
Entech Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist to join a growing manufacturing company in Flushing, MI. This position is primarily focused on CNC mill setup and operation, with additional opportunities available for candidates with experience in CNC lathes, grinding, or other machining disciplines.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CNC mills, and Fanuc controls, blueprint reading, tooling, offsets, and quality inspection.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC mills to produce parts according to specifications.

Read and interpret blueprints, job instructions, and machining specifications.

Set up fixturing, cutting tools, and other equipment required for CNC milling operations.

Select appropriate cutting tools and calculate feeds, speeds, and depths of cut.

Read, interpret, and make adjustments to CNC G-code and related programming.

Set and adjust work offsets, tool offsets, tool radius offsets, and other machine parameters.

Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain part quality.

Inspect completed parts using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, tool setters, and other precision measuring equipment.

Follow established safety procedures and properly operate equipment and materials.

Perform basic preventive maintenance and maintain machine cleanliness.

Keep the surrounding work area clean, organized, and safe.

Must observe safety and security procedures, determine appropriate action beyond guidelines, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly and safely for the safety of the employees and tools.

Requirements

2-4 years of related CNC machining experience and training, or an equivalent combination of experience and trade schooling (must have some experience beyond schooling).

Experience with Fanuc or similar CNC controls required.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job instructions.

Ability to understand CNC programs and make basic program or offset adjustments.

Familiarity with Mastercam, CAD, or similar software is a plus.

Ability to read and understand blueprints including GD&D GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) with profile tolerancing.

Ability to inspect parts and maintain required quality standards.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to machining and grinding.

Ability to apply common sense, understanding, and ability to carry out written and oral instructions.

Ability to deal with problems involving variables.

Must be able to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and monitor your own work to ensure quality of product.

Experience with Lean Manufacturing and or 5S is a plus.
-
Experience in an Aerospace environment is a plus.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to handle, feel, & grasp. Reach with hands and arms. May occasionally be required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
